The international association has established a local member group of hospitality finance and technology professionals for networking and educational opportunities
Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals (HFTP®) is announcing the newly-established HFTP Shanghai Chapter – the first chapter in China for the international association. The group of hospitality finance and technology professionals will meet on a regular basis to network and present professional education programs. The confirmation for the chapter came after a recent interest event featuring HFTP CEO Frank Wolfe, CAE brought together area professionals to introduce the association and its member benefits.
In response to the initial interest meeting held on May 27, 2019, Wolfe said, “It was quite an honor to have so many Chinese hotels represented in one place at one time. The hospitality of the Shanghai hospitality finance and technology community was amazing and we look forward to trading knowledge with our Far East members.”
“I became acquainted with HFTP while using the USALI and found it to be a very resourceful organization, which will be useful for the hospitality finance people in China,” said Renee Zhang, CFO, Jinmao (China) Hotel Investments and Management Limited. “I firmly believe that HFTP will help to provide systematic training programs and updated information on finance and technology. That’s why we came up with the idea to organize the chapter in China. Once started, we will do our best to engage with hospitality finance and technology professionals, with the help of HFTP headquarters.”
Local chapters help members expand their network, increase their educational opportunities and build strong connections with industry professionals. China, as a quickly expanding hospitality market, demands a professional platform that a new HFTP China chapter could help provide — bringing local professionals together, consolidating valuable resources and sharing solutions with professionals in the community.
