Chicago-based hotel investment and management company, Arbor Lodging Partners, announced its latest acquisition and second hotel in the Boston metro, the Hilton Garden Inn Boston-Burlington.

The hotel marks the 8th Hilton Garden Inn in the Arbor Lodging portfolio and was acquired through a joint venture with Argosy Real Estate Partners.

Located in the 128 corridor of Boston at 5 Wheeler Rd., in Burlington, this 180-room hotel is located within one of the largest life science and technology hubs in the country, playing host to the likes of MilliporeSigma, Nuance, Oracle, Microsoft, and Salesforce, among others.

Being known as one of the top submarkets in the greater Boston area, the location of Hilton Garden Inn Boston-Burlington will be quintessential in accommodating travelers visiting Burlington, as well as heavy corporate travelers in town on business, as Boston is on the cutting edge of medicine and technology with some of the nation’s top leading educational and medical institutions in close proximities.

“We are thrilled to grow our existing presence in greater Boston and to add another hotel to our portfolio that we believe is located in one of the best hospitality and investment markets in the nation,” said Vamsi Bonthala, Chief Executive Officer of Arbor Lodging Partners. “We are continuously projecting and forecasting markets that we believe will have outsized growth, and with its strong base in life sciences, technology, and education, the Greater Boston market is the perfect example of that.”

Located just outside central Boston, the Hilton Garden Inn Boston-Burlington will undergo a comprehensive renovation that will address all guestrooms, guest bathrooms, the building exterior, lobby, restaurant, pool, among other common areas. The transformative renovation will upgrade the hotel to meet the high expectations of modern guests to ensure the best experience. Most recently, Arbor acquired the Hilton Garden Inn Ann Arbor and the TownePlace Suites by Marriott Ann Arbor, assets located in another emerging life sciences and technology market that is also home to one of the leading universities in the country, and was also honored with the prestigious Best Renovation Award during the Hyatt Americas Owners Conference back in October for their work on the Hyatt Place Dallas/Arlington Hotel.

Arbor Lodging’s fully integrated hotel investment and management platform now owns and operates over 38 hotels throughout the United States. The portfolio consists of a range of hotels under brands such as Curio Collection by Hilton, Marriott Hotels & Resorts, Courtyard by Marriott, Hilton Garden Inn, Residence Inn, Homewood Suites, AC Hotels, and more.
