Openings Include Conversion in Denver, Colo.
MEMPHIS, Tenn., July 8, 2002Hampton®, the national brand of more than 1,100 mid-priced Hampton Inn® and Hampton Inn & Suites® hotels, today announced that it opened nine Hampton hotels representing 827 rooms during June 2002, including the conversion of one Hampton Inn & Suites hotel in Denver, Colorado. The new openings include four Hampton Inn hotels and five Hampton Inn & Suites hotels.
Our growth pipeline remains quite active, as is evidenced by the opening of two Hampton hotels or more per week during the month of June, said Phil Cordell, senior vice-president, brand management, Hampton. Hampton remains an attractive development product for new and returning hotel developers, and we continue to see growing interest nationwide, ground up and in conversions, as the economy gradually begins to rebound.
