Intrawest's Newly Launched Storied Places Expands Network To Include Tonopalo On The North Shore Of Lake Tahoe, California

North Lake Tahoe, California, March 21, 2002 – Intrawest Corporation, the premier developer and operator of village-centered resorts in North America, announced the second resort location to come under the umbrella of its new company, Storied Places. The resort, Tonopalo, on the North Shore of Lake Tahoe, California, will be developed by Graham Properties, LLC of Nevada and managed by Storied Places. Tonopalo is a perfect complement to what we have envisioned for our collection of the most unique, mystical places in the world, said Jim Onken, Storied Places president.
Storied Places is a new, wholly owned Intrawest company that will develop and operate small, exclusive neighborhoods of high-end resort homes where the benefits of owning a full-sized private residence are combined with limited commitment and personalized five-star service. Storied Places will develop and manage private communities around the world. The first Storied Place, At Nature's Door, was introduced last week and will be built in Whistler, British Columbia. Graham Properties recently announced plans for the May 2002 groundbreaking of its US$66.5-million project to be built on 270 feet of white sand beach.
