Triple Celebration for Raffles International's Hotels

Raffles L'Ermitage Beverly Hills honoured With AAA Five-Diamond and Mobil Five-Star Awards and Restaurant Haerlin, Raffles Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten Conferred With One Michelin Star

SINGAPORE, March 22 — Raffles L'Ermitage Beverly Hills was accorded the distinction of being one of only six hotels in the US to have received both the prestigious American Automobile Association's (AAA) Five- Diamond Award and Mobil Travel Guide 2002's Five-Star Award.

The AAA Five-Diamond Award is only given to select establishments that exemplify an impeccable standard of excellence. The Mobil Five-Star award identifies an establishment as one of the best in the country. The Raffles L'Ermitage Beverly Hills is one of only 25 exemplary establishments to be honored as a 2002 Mobil Five-Star Award recipient, based on ability to anticipate guest needs, exceed their expectations, and create a memorable and lasting experience for them.

On the occasion of being bestowed the two highly coveted awards, the Mayor of Beverly Hills, Mr. Mark Egerman, presented the Raffles L'Ermitage with a special citation in recognition of the hotel's outstanding hospitality, luxury accommodations and plentiful amenities that are available to both leisure and business travelers.

Raffles Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten in Hamburg, Germany also has cause to celebrate: its premier restaurant, Restaurant Haerlin, has been awarded its first Michelin Star. This accolade not only recognises the quality of the Haerlin's cuisine, but also the quality of its service, wine selection and dining environment. Chef de Cuisine, Hans-Peter Engels, with his former background in top dining establishments in Germany, joined the restaurant during its re-opening in October, following renovations. It is interesting to note that Hamburg has now become Germany's premier food city, with a total of nine restaurants listed in the latest Michelin guide — more than any other German city.

These awards are a distinct indication of the industry, customers and community's recognition of the integrity of the Raffles promise.

Raffles International has extended its master brand to signature food and beverage concepts such as Doc Cheng's, its luxury Amrita Spas and private label in-hotel Raffles Shops. Equinox in Singapore, a refreshingly new concept in dining and entertainment, and Thos SB Raffles incubator enterprise, are among its quality lifestyle concepts. And soon, guests can look forward to convenient shopping of Raffles' private label products in the privacy of their own rooms through room order.

Mr. Richard Helfer, Chairman & Chief Executive Officer, Raffles International Limited assures, It is most rewarding to know that our guests are truly satisfied, and the stripes we earn are but one good indication. Without doubt, we'll continue to do our best to ensure that we consistently meet and regularly exceed our customers' expectations.
