Frank Lavey Named General Manager Of The Hyatt Regency Maui Resort & Spa

Lavey’s responsibilities will include overseeing the operations of the Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa located on 40 acres of oceanfront property on Ka'anapali Beach, the finest of Maui luxury hotels with 806 guest rooms (including 31 suites), 18 retail stores, as well as meeting and convention facilities in three connecting resort towers.

Lavey is returning to the property where his career with Hyatt Hotels Corporation began in 1988 as the director of catering and convention services at the Hyatt Regency Maui. After Maui he spent four years at the Hyatt Regency Monterey as the executive assistant manager – food & beverage and the director of operations, Lavey then served as general manager at the Hyatt at Fisherman’s Wharf and Hyatt Regency Los Angeles before moving back to Hawaii with his wife Krislyn, daughter Jade and son Jack.

Originally from Pennsylvania, Lavey attended East Stroudsburg University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in hospitality management.
