Extended Stay America, Inc. Opens Its Fourth Miami Based Hotel

SPARTANBURG, S.C.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–March 28, 2002–Extended Stay America, Inc. (NYSE: ESA) has opened a five-story StudioPLUS Deluxe Studios hotel located at 7750 Northwest 25th Street, Miami, Florida. The 98 room hotel is the Company's fourth property in the Miami area, its 30th property in the state and its 437th property overall.
According to Chief Executive Officer George D. Johnson, Jr., The extended-stay lodging market is the fastest growing segment of the hotel industry, and is quickly catching the interest of business professionals, people relocating and those on extended work assignments.
Weekly room rates for the new StudioPLUS hotel are available from $369 for a Queen Deluxe room and $449 for a King Deluxe room–a fraction of the cost you'd pay elsewhere for similar features. Nightly rates are available from $69.
Guest rooms at StudioPLUS properties offer approximately 300 to 425 square feet of living space and include a queen-size bed, recliner, expanded cable TV with remote, free voice mail, free local calls, and a computer data port. Each room also has a kitchen with a refrigerator, stove, microwave, coffee maker, utensils and tableware. Some studios also offer dishwashers and sofa sleepers.
The property features a 24-hour, coin-operated, on-site laundry facility for guests, fitness centers, convenient vending machines and outdoor pools or spas. Guests are provided with weekly housekeeping service and twice-weekly towel service. Seven to ten employees generally staff properties.
