Metro Detroit and Michigan, which will serve as test markets, will offer New Premium Roast Coffee in McDonald's restaurants across the state. A national launch of New Premium Roast Coffee is expected later this year.
“We're listening to our customers,” said John Betts, Vice President/General Manager of the McDonald's Michigan region. “Our customers have asked us for a richer, more flavorful cup of coffee and we're excited to bring McDonald's New Premium Roast Coffee to southeast Michigan. We're proud our customers in metropolitan Detroit will be the first to taste our New Premium Roast Coffee before the national launch later in the year.”
As an added convenience, McDonald's will add the cream and sugar, upon customer request, through an innovative automated system to customize each cup of coffee, made specifically to each customer's personal taste. This process will save time and give customers a consistent flavor and taste each time they visit McDonald's. In addition, Equal and Splenda also are available to customers in traditional packets.
“Customizing our customer's coffee — with the precise amount of cream and sugar they prefer — complement the rich, bold, robust flavor of our New Premium Roast Coffee,” said Gary Granader, McDonald's owner/operator. “The New Premium Roast coffee shows our attention to each customer's taste and our commitment to provide a great tasting cup of coffee everyday.”
