Torriani joins the Elegant Hotels Group from the Robinson Athenee Palace in Tunisia, where he was General Manager.
Prior to this appointment, Torriani was General Manager of the 137-room Leela Palace, a Kempinski Resort in Goa, India where he was responsible for the entire resort operation of this member of the prestigious 'Leading Hotels of the World' group and top resort in India. During his time with the Palace, Torriani was instrumental in reopening the resort after extensive renovation and increasing room revenue by 50%. Under Torriani's leadership, the hotel also achieved the Gallivanter's Award of Excellence within four months of operation.

Torriani's previous experience includes the role of General Manager at the Bora Bora Pearl Beach Resort in Bora Bora, Polynesia, the Chedi Hotel in Bali, Indonesia and Beaver Creek Lodge in Colorado.
A Swiss citizen, Torriani's career began in the Mayfair Regent in New York for some years before moving onto the Rosewood Hotel Group, and the Hotel Crescent Court in Dallas, Texas.
