Howard Johnson Debuts Extended-Stay Product in England

PARSIPPANY, N.J. (March 6, 2002) – The first Howard Johnson extended-stay product, designed as a home away from home for project workers, contractors, theater groups, film crews and others on extended assignments, will open this month in Bristol, England.

The product, named Howard Johnson Serviced Apartments, will offer extended-stay accommodations for shorter rental periods than traditional leases and are expected to be used as offices as well as lodging accommodations. Each rental unit offers a fully equipped kitchen, living-dining area, bathroom and one to two bedrooms. Unlike conventional apartments, the nightly rate includes telephone service, heating and electricity.

The Howard Johnson Serviced Apartment in Bristol features 68 one- and two-bedroom luxury units with high-quality furnishings. Situated in Bristol's city center, the property is near a large number of shops, restaurants, cafes and nightlife.

The Howard Johnson Serviced Apartment in Bristol was developed by the PREM Group of Dublin, Ireland, which operates extended-stay properties and hotels elsewhere in the United Kingdom and in Ireland.
