New Organization Formed for Hotel Management

The Hoteliers International Los Angeles, a new organization for active hotel general
managers and directors of sales and marketing professionals, will meet on May 1 at
Century Plaza Hotel and Spa. Century City, Los Angeles. The Luncheon meeting will
start at 11:30 AM and end at 2PM.

Caroline Beteta, Deputy Secretary for Tourism for the State of California, is the
featured speaker. Her address will cover tourism in the first quarter of 2002 and
the State's projections for the reminder of 2002. David Sheatsley, Research Director
of Los Angeles Convention & Visitors Bureau, will highlight the trends for the Greater
Los Angeles area at the meeting.

The Hotel Leadership Forum provides the first common ground for the top management
of Los Angeles' hotels to meet and discuss industry subjects of mutual interest,
said John V Mathew, CTC, founder of the organization and director of sales and marketing
for Marcus Hotels and Resorts at Beverly Garland Holiday Inn Universal Studios Hollywood.

The forum will meet quarterly and cover a variety of topics, including marketing,
sales, operations, security, destination marketing and training. Additional information
