Hospitality Design Expo '02 Sees Tremendous Growth in Exhibitor Attendance
LAS VEGAS–(BUSINESS WIRE)–April 24, 2002–The 10th annual Hospitality Design Exposition returns to Las Vegas May 2-4, 2002 with more than 900 booths and 3,400 exhibitors, an increase of 10 percent over last year.
At a time when tradeshows have felt a decrease in numbers after the Sept. 11 attacks, this event signifies a return to normal tradeshow attendance, according to show officials.
Approximately 8,500 industry participants, including architects, developers, designers, purchasing agents and owner/operators will be in attendance to explore product exhibits and take part in educational seminars, networking events and social activities. Perhaps this is why HD EXPO '02 has been listed by Trade Show 200 as one of the fastest growing shows in the nation.
This year, with High-Touch theme, the show focuses on comfort. Bringing the comforts of home and the luxury and escape of a spa to the hotel experience reflects one of the industry's current challenges.
This year, the addition of a Hospitality Design Bath & Spa Showcase(TM) will be launched to explore the latest in upscale, distinctive baths and spas, said Michelle Finn, Group Show Publisher.
Some innovative products to be launched or previewed at the show include:
— Kohler introduces The Purist Collection including the Wet Surface.
— SONY provides a sneak preview of their 50-inch plasma flat panel in the Crypton(R) Bistro.
— E/2 Design presents the Too She Roll for bar/fast food seating.

Other popular show features include educational sessions, such as a new Masterclass series, seminars on security, restaurant design, branding, golf course design strategies and more.
This is a real industry marketplace, a destination for the exchange of ideas, learning new applications and the continuing development of hospitality design, added Finn.
Registration will continue throughout the show or may be completed online until April 24, 2002 at www.hdexpo.com.
