Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. (NYSE:HOT) and Access Hotel Advisors together announce a combined Westin and Element brand hotel developments to be built in Chantilly, Virginia. Owned by Commonwealth Centre Investors, LLC, an affiliate of BPG Properties, Ltd., The Westin Chantilly and Element Chantilly Westfields will be an integral part of Commonwealth's master planned development – Commonwealth Centre. Construction on both properties is scheduled to begin in May 2008 with openings slated for Spring 2009.
Upon completion, Commonwealth Centre will offer more than two million square feet of office and retail space in one of the largest undeveloped parcels of land in Westfield's International Corporate Center. The Westin Chantilly will be built across the street from Element Chantilly Westfields, which will be located at the center of this premier mixed-use complex. Located in Virginia's high-tech corridor, Chantilly is just minutes from the Dulles Expo Center, three miles from Washington Dulles International Airport and 24 miles from Washington D.C., providing easy access to the city's businesses and leisure attractions.

The 211-room Westin Chantilly will rejuvenate travelers, helping them feel their best in mind, body and spirit with the help of Westin's signature services and amenities. Guestrooms at The Westin Chantilly will be equipped with the brand's renowned Heavenly Bed(R) and Heavenly Bath(R) and 32-inch flat panel LCD televisions.
Upon arrival to the hotel, guests will be greeted with the Westin signature sensory welcome – an array of refreshing products including a white tea scent, mood music, plush towels and elixir designed to undo the stresses of travel. Element Chantilly Westfields
Inspired by Westin Hotels & Resorts and offering a fresh perspective on the extended stay experience through smart design, modern style and natural touches, the Element Chantilly Westfields will re-define the extended-stay segment by giving guests a place to thrive while on the road.
The smart design and clever use of space in the Element Chantilly's 123 private space – guestrooms – will be aimed at encouraging guest productivity while facilitating relaxation. The hotel's open, modular flow will blend together each part of the guestroom to create a residential feel.
