TwoTables Co-founders Embarking on Marathon Road Trip for Great American Dine Out
Two online marketing professionals have devised a unique way to participate in Share Our Strength’s Great American Dine Out, a week-long event that rallies restaurateurs and their patrons to raise funds for hunger relief. Matt Creer and Mindi Cabe, partners in TwoTables Internet Marketing for Restaurants, will spend the week of September 20 – 26, 2009, traveling throughout the state of Colorado in an attempt to purchase an item from each distinct restaurant brand that has signed on for the event.
The Great American Dine Out is a seven-day opportunity for restaurants and consumers to raise funds to benefit Share Our Strength, a 25-year-old organization whose mission is to end childhood hunger in the United States by 2015. Participating restaurants will contribute in various ways, including donating a portion of their proceeds for the week, creating special menu items for purchase during the event and collecting in-store donations.
‘We’re really pleased we have the time and means to be able to help in our own small way,’ said Cabe. ‘This has been a hard year for everyone, and this is a great chance to make a real difference.’
Creer and Cabe will be visiting nearly 30 restaurants during the week; the majority of them in the Denver area. They have created a secure web page from which people may offer a tax-deductible donation in addition to or instead of dining out during the week. At the end of the Great American Dine Out, TwoTables Internet Marketing will match the total amount of all donations collected through this page.
