Marriott Hotels Maintain Average Room Prices over the Last Six Years By Toni Viens

This article shows the changes in average annual price per room for Marriott hotels and compares these changes with the macro market for major hotel transactions from 1998 through the third quarter of 2003. Our study shows that Marriott hotels have weathered the downturn in the economy and have, in 2003, achieved average room prices essentially equal with the average room price for the Marriott brand during the banner year of 2000.
