Call for Nominations: The 2020 Hoteliers’ Choice Awards for Environmental Good

Starfleet Media, an Ecologi member company, has announced that its hospitality industry publications are now accepting nominations for the “2020 Hoteliers’ Choice Award for Environmental Good” and the ‘2020 Restaurateurs’ Choice Award for Environmental Good’ achievement awards competition.

Sponsored by Hotel Technology News and sister publication Restaurant Technology News, these annual award competitions recognize excellence and innovation in providing and/or utilizing next-generation technologies to achieve sustainability and eco-friendly practices in hotel and restaurant operations, respectively.

For hotels and hotel technology solution providers, up to three (3) achievement award winners will be selected in each of the following categories:

• Excellence in Utilizing Technology to Reduce Hotel Energy Consumption
• Excellence in Utilizing Technology to Reduce Hotel Waste
• Excellence in Utilizing Eco-Friendly Hotel Materials and Design Technology
• Excellence in Utilizing Technology to Build a Green Hotel Supply Chain

Hotel owners and operators, technology solution providers, public relations firms and others are encouraged to enter this achievement awards competition by nominating themselves or others. Readers and staff will then vote to select the winning entries.

Please submit entries using the Submit an Article form and selecting “Environmental Good Nominee” as the submission category. Please include a brief description of the nominee and explain how the company has demonstrated innovation in providing (in the case of a solution provider) and/or utilizing hotel technology to achieve sustainability and eco-friendly business practices.

In the case of a hotel nominee, please include a short explanation of the objectives of the environmental initiative, a description of the timeline and how the initiative was undertaken, the metrics that were used to track and measure success, and the actual results that have been achieved to date with respect to the initiative. Also, please include information about the technology solution that was implemented. In the case of a solution provider, please include a minimum of two client success stories. Please also include one or more relevant images.

The names and descriptions of the winners along with their entries will be published in Hotel Technology News and through our publication partner network. Winners will receive a custom licensed image of the “2020 Hoteliers’ Choice Award for Environmental Good” badge and be granted the right to display the badge on their own websites.

Companies located anywhere in the world are eligible to compete. The entry deadline is November 15, 2020. Winners will be notified no later than November 30, 2020.
